Sustainability at Amphenol Procom

At Amphenol Procom, we’re taking meaningful steps to reduce plastic use and enhance sustainability in product design. The 4220/4240 Omni antennas now feature a self-colored fiberglass shroud, eliminating the need for paint and significantly reducing waste. This change alone prevents 87.7 kg of plastic waste annually, minimizes CO2 emissions, and ensures materials are used more efficiently with cut-to-length designs.

By embedding color directly into the fiberglass, we’ve eliminated the need to send shrouds to 3rd-party suppliers for painting, resulting in a significant reduction of CO2 emissions associated with transportation. Additionally, this innovation has eliminated customer claims for scratches on painted surfaces, enhancing product durability and increasing customer satisfaction.

This initiative is part of our larger commitment to sustainable innovation, where every product redesign aligns with our long-term environmental goals. While this is just one step, it reflects our dedication to setting new benchmarks for sustainability in the industry. Stay tuned as we expand these principles across our product range!
