- This rubber sleeve protects connector joints from corrosion and prevents water ingress in the connector assembly and in the cable.
- The PHC should be applied together with a sealing compound such as silicone sealer (not supplied).
- The sleeve is cut to suitable size depending on connector type (“N” or “UHF”) and cable type.
- See instructions below.

Assembly Instructions
- Using “UHF” (PL-259) type connector: Trim thick end of protective sleeve according to the drawing. Using “N” type connector: Leave thick end of sleeve untouched.
- Trim sleeve from thin end to make it able to slide on the cable. Leave the sleeve on the cable.
- Fit the connector on the cable.
- Spread a tiny bit of sealer on the thread of the female connector.
- Join the connectors. Tighten the revolving nut thoroughly.
- Apply a suitable amount of silicone sealer to the surface of the connector joint and spread it to be sure that all slits are closed.
- Slide the protective sleeve over the connector assembly.
- NB: If the antenna is provided with a drain hole at the base of the connector, be sure not to close it accidentally with the silicone sealer or the rim of the sleeve. This drain hole must be left open to allow the antenna to “breathe”, otherwise it will fill up with condensing water.
